Trump als Unternehmer
Thomas Seibert schreibt:"Ganz so uneigennützig, wie er tut, ist Trump aber nicht, sagen Ethik-Fachleute. Walter Shaub, Chef der Ethik-Kommission in der Regierung des scheidenden Präsidenten Barack Obama, verwarf Trumps Vorstellungen in deutlichen Worten. Hohe Amtsträger dürften nicht den Eindruck vermitteln, aus ihren Posten Profit zu ziehen. Doch Trump vermeide den klaren Bruch mit seiner Unternehmerrolle."Das verwundert nicht, denn Trump als Unternehmer hat diverse kritische Situationen überstanden, aus viel Geerbtem mehr gemacht. Wenn man das als "Vollblutunternehmer" bezeichnen mag, wird es nicht zu einem "Aderlass" kommen, nur weil Trump Präsident wird. Als Unternehmer war er immer wieder gefordert, unkonventionelle Wege zu finden, um seine Vorstellungen zu realisieren. Als Präsident wird er ebenso handeln. Was als unkonventionell daher kommt und bis zu Regelbrüchen gehen kann, findet Trump selbst nicht bedenklich:
"Die Kritik der Medien und der Fachleute an seinem Vorgehen lässt Trump bisher kalt. Er fühlt sich sicher. Die Leute hätten ihn schließlich auch ohne Offenlegung der Steuererklärung zum Präsidenten gewählt, sagte er bei seiner Pressekonferenz. Nur die Medien interessierten sich dafür, sonst niemand."Es stört ihn nicht mal, dass sich seine Wähler von ihm abwenden, ihn zumindest kritischer sehen:
"Laut einer Umfrage tritt er das Präsidentenamt mit der außergewöhnlich niedrigen Zustimmungsrate von nur 37 Prozent an: Auch viele Trump-Wähler sind offenkundig wenig begeistert von dem, was sie derzeit erleben. Mehr als die Hälfte der Amerikaner rechnen mit einem schweren Skandal während Trumps Präsidentschaft."Der schwere Skandal, mit dem bereits mehr als die Hälfte der Amerikaner rechnen, kann nicht überraschen. Anfangs mag, getrieben von Hoffnung, noch die Haltung gerechtfertigt gewesen sein, abzuwarten und zu sehen, ob Trump seine angekündigte Politik umsetzen wird. Inzwischen hat Trump sein Kabinett weitgehend zusammen gestellt, wie in einer Übersicht im Bericht von Thomas Seibert zu sehen ist. Als Chefstratege wird dort Steve Bannon gezeigt.
Trumps Strategieflüsterer
Steve Bannon war der Kopf hinter Trumps Wahlkampagne und hinter der Website Breitbart News, die er als "the platform for the alt-right" bezeichnet hat, wie Wikipedia schreibt. Spiegel Online titelt seinen Bericht über die Website mit "Programm: Brandstiftung".Auf der Website von Breitbart London hat James Delingpole am 1.1.2017 einen Eintrag veröffentlicht mit dem Titel "Rules for Righties — a War-Winning Manifesto for 2017". Bereits in der Vergangenheit ist Delingpole aufgetreten, beispielsweise als er den menschlichen Einfluss auf den Klimawandel leugnete. Das Jahr 2016 ist für Delingpole ein Brückenkopf, der Krieg sei noch nicht gewonnen, wie er schon in der Einleitung in kriegsnaher Sprache schreibt:
"2016 was a great year for most of us – but just because we’ve gained the beachhead doesn’t mean we’re going to win the war."Mit Brexit und Trump sei ein erster Schritt getan, "the worst of the fighting is yet to come":
"Our enemy is fanatical, determined, well organised. Plus, they still hold most of the key positions: the big banks, the corporations, the top law firms, the civil service, local government, the universities, the schools, the mainstream media, Hollywood… Give those bastards half the chance and they’ll drive us back into the sea – which, in contemporary terms, means nixing Brexit (or giving us 'soft Brexit', which is basically the same thing) and frustrating all the things President Trump will try to do to Make America Great Again."Delingpole gibt sich optimistisch, den Krieg gewinnen zu können und führt eine Reihe von Gründen an, die ich einfach zitiere (Hervorhebungen im Original):
"We will never underestimate the wickedness of the enemy
[...] From Mao’s China to Stalin’s Soviet Union, from Cuba to North Korea, history is littered with the wreckage of failed left wing schemes to make the world a better, fairer place.

Of course we should always despise the liberal-left because their philosophy is morally bankrupt, dangerous and wrong.
[...] If conservatives like fruit or honey in their yogurt and liberals prefer to eat it with dogshit, it is NOT a sensible accommodation – much as our centrist conservative columnists might wish it so – to say: 'All right. How about we eat our yogurt with a little bit of both?' We need to understand, very clearly, that there are such things as right and wrong [...]
We will never apologise, never explain, never surrender
[...] The vengeful liberal-left doesn’t just want humiliation – it wants total annihilation. [...]
We will laugh in the face of death
Something I’ve noticed about the liberal-left: they don’t have a sense of humour.
[...] Humour requires a degree of self-knowledge; an ability to recognise your own weaknesses (vital if you are to triumph over them) and not to take yourself too seriously. Also, it’s a sign that you are a happy warrior – in the manner of heroes like Andrew Breitbart.
[...] We should remember at all times that in the culture wars, we are the Greek city states and the enemy are the Persians.
We will mercilessly expose their weaknesses
People on the liberal-left are just like us, really, only slightly less evolved. Their brains are stuck in that stage of evolution just before ours – the hunter-gatherer stage when we were all roaming the plains and were programmed to respond in the most basic way to our most primal instincts.
This is why so much of the left-liberal 'argument' has to do with raw emotion rather than logic [...]
Leave no man behind
[...] Unlike the left – which sees ethnic, sexual and religious minorities mainly as client victim groups to patronise and exploit for identity politics purposes – we on the right 'celebrate diversity' by not giving a damn about diversity.

This, pretty much, was the tactic of the Royal Navy throughout the Napoleonic Wars – even when outnumbered and outgunned by the French and the Spanish.

"OK. We’re done. Unleash hell."Nein, wir brauchen nicht zu hoffen, dass es besser wird, wenn Donald Trump im Amt ist. Donald Trump hat Einflüsterer, die solches Gedankengut verbreiten. Donald Trump selbst ist unberechenbar, erratisch, eine "Unguided Missile". Man weiß nicht, auf welches Thema er als nächstes anspringen wird und was er dazu sagen wird. Man weiß nicht, ob und was er denkt - außer an sich. Die Welt muss einen Weg finden, die nächsten Jahre dennoch zu bestehen. Beten allein wird nicht reichen gegen die angekündigte Hölle.
